Our next fun team event is on Thursday 29th July as promised. This is a 4 person scramble and Mick Cronin has kindly drawn up the Terms for the Competition. We had 80 people at the last event and look forward to seeing as many as possible and in particular new members who joined us in the last 18 months.
The Tee time starts from 4pm and will be available to book on BRS on Thursday 22nd July at 8pm.
Delighted to see the great uptake in the Junior Camp that Greg is running from the 27th July. These are all new to our club and we understand that there will be a treat of burgers and chips for them on the last day of camp.
The Town & District Cup is planned for 12th Aug. Please give details in the pro shop of your team and what district they represent.

We held a four-ball scramble over 12 holes in the club on Thursday 8th July, starting at 4 pm and ending at 10 pm as the last golfers came off course. This was a fun evening with our members getting to meet other club members and, in particular, those who have only joined us in the last 18 months or so.
Glen from Rye River provided us with scrumptious sandwiches, which everyone enjoyed with a cup of tea afterward.
The winners were Ciaran O Connell, Gary Gartland, Ian O Leary and Liam Nolan.
In 2nd place were Paul Fitzpatrick, Philip Mc Crory, John Whittaker, and Daryl Watters.
Our next fun team event is on Thursday 29th July, so please put this in your diary.
The Rayfus Cup Competition is being played this Sunday 18th July in Trim, Co Meath Golf Club. We have 3 teams (12 couples) playing, and the Ladies and Men’s Committee are paying for this. A special word of thanks to Mary Fitzmaurice, who has looked after this event.
Finally, offers are invited to the pro shop from members willing to take charge of a six-member team from their area in the club’s own ‘Towns & District Cup’, which we hope to hold in August.

Good luck to Kilcock in the Pierce Purcell against Headfort and also to our Irish Mixed Foursomes who play Co. Meath in the 2nd round this weekend
Volunteers
We are looking for some more volunteers to give Larry Gough and the rest of his volunteers a couple of hours of a Thursday to do a few jobs around the course. They have done a lot of great work around the course since the covid-19 restrictions were eased. Because of the covid-19 restrictions, they are way behind.
Regards and thanks.
Captains Tommy & Eileen.
